2024-2025 Graduate Student Handbook
The Graduate Student Handbook is intended to provide general information on graduate education policies and procedures at the University of Minnesota Duluth that are applicable to all graduate students. Students are expected to be familiar with the policies and procedures set out by the Graduate School and their individual degree programs. Students should read this handbook, as well as the one provided by their graduate programs early in their graduate career, and refer back to them often. These resources contain the answers to many frequently-asked questions. If you can't find what you are looking for, contact the UMD Graduate Office or your program director or coordinator.
The handbook is a supplement to information contained in the University of Minnesota Duluth Catalog, The University of Minnesota Graduate School Catalog, the University of Minnesota Graduate Assistant Employment Office website, and the University Policy Library. Information in the Graduate Student Handbook is subject to change without notice.
