Graduate Student Association

An open book with the words UMD Graduate Student Association underneath, all on a maroon and gold background.

The student representatives to the UMD Graduate Programs Committee are also the leaders of the Graduate Student Association at UMD. The GSA hosts social, wellness, and professional activities that allow students to meet others from programs outside of their own, as well as give them the opportunity to share their experiences as graduate students at UMD. Join the GSA on Bulldog Connect!

Your student representatives for 2025-26 are:

  • Niharika Bommadi (Computer Science MS candidate, 2nd year)
  • Adrian Parenteau (MA in Psychological Science candidate, 2nd year)
  • First-year representative to be elected soon. Submit your nominations now!

The GSA Advisor is:

  • Kim Habig (UMD Graduate Office)

Congratulations to our 24/25 GSA leaders on winning the 2025 Arrowhead Leadership Award!
